IGLeague MTGA tournament rulebook


  1. All IGLeague events will follow Wizards of the Coast, Magic the gathering rules.

  1. Format for each event will be provided during check in. 


Formats: Standard, Historic, Singleton, Pauper

Singleton rules: Singleton is also a sanctioned Magic format in which every card is effectively restricted; with the exception of basic land cards, a player's combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than one of any individual card. Constructed decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards.


Historic rules: [Subject to change or format adjustments]

a format that allows Arena players to make use of cards that are no longer legal in Standard after rotation.

All cards not on the ban list are viable, 60 card min, mandatory Bo3


  1. During check in, players will be prompted to provide a deck list. Simply go to your deck, export a copy and paste it in the appropriate field.


  1. Modifying your tournament deck mid tournament or match will result in disqualification and potential ban from future events.

  1.  All matches will be best of three, using a “standard” match.


  1. Rounds will be 1hour, after this time if a clear victor is not determined turns will be enforced to determine a winner.


Turn rule: once time is called in a round, the game stops and the players have a total of 5 "extra turns". If, after those five turns, the game is still not over, the game ends in a draw


  1. After each match promptly report your scores, and submit vods or screenshots to the correct field.


  1. In the event of a dispute contact an admin, to resolve your issue, in the event of bugs, or game disruptions it will be on the players to decide if a replay is needed. If agreement isn’t made, contact an admin for final ruling.


  1. Griefing in any form will not be tolerated, this includes “roping”, spamming, or any other means where a player is actively delaying the match or targeting the opposing player.


  1. Tournament admins have the final say in all rulings, this is not disputable.


  1. For any other questions and concerns contact an admin.


  1. Admins may spectate anymatch via discord screen share, or streams upon request.
